Carousels are iconic rides at amusement parks and fairs. The first one at the Tibidabo Amusement Park arrived in 1910 with the definitive re-launch of the site as a fairground. The attraction was an electric carousel, installed where the Crash Cars are now located (there was no level five in those days). Over the years, merry-go-rounds were installed for young children and others for the whole family, until the one we know today was set up in the panoramic area in 1989.
The carousel features personalised decorations and period details. The underside of its roof has paintings of the automatons which can be found in our museum. The outer part of the roof also features paintings of iconic places in Barcelona.
