Tibidabo Amusement Park has been innovative and educational in its spaces since its beginnings. The Park's first attractions, such as the Avió or the Ferrocarril Aeri, were designed with the aim of informing the public about the technological revolutions of the time. Respecting this past, valuing the present and moving towards the future, education is consolidated as one of the four strategic axes of the Park, together with solidarity, sustainability and experiences.
With the aim of giving added value to its users, the intention is for the Park to be remembered, generation after generation, as a place where there are not only attractions and entertainment, but also as a place where knowledge can be acquired. For this reason, the Park incorporates the educational spirit in the design of the new attractions and develops specific educational programmes.
In 2008, the Park was given new impetus as an educational tool, becoming a source of knowledge and an opportunity for students to see, experience and learn. Thus, the first educational activities of the Park were created by Lluís Ribas, teacher and head of the conservation of the Museum of Automats.
In 2018, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of these educational activities, the offer was extended with the Science, Technology and Environment itinerary and the exercises were adapted to all school years.
In 2023, the Park incorporates a new educational activity itinerary on Sustainable Mobility, aimed at pupils between the first and fourth years of primary school.
Tibidabo's educational activities give schools from all over Catalonia the opportunity to enjoy a fun and educational outing with the Park's attractions and the best views of Barcelona.
